Getting things done or GTD for short, has become a very popular item for the ADD filled procrastinator of the digital age.  If you own a Mac, you are in luck because you have two very good options (actually many more, I just decided with time, these two would suffice).  The first is The Hit List which is a 50 dollar setback for what could possibly be the most keyboard “short-cuted” app in the world.  It might not be the most beautiful app in the world but the amount of little nuances that are easily controlled without the mouse is always welcome for the dev minded folk out there.

Your second option is Things.  Things comes in at the same price point as the Hit List however, it does have the option of an iPhone app which is a key feature (The Hit List is rumored to have on on the way, so don’t fret).  Things is definitely built for the designer in mind.  The UI is incredibly gorgeous and an absolute charm to work in.  The draw back?  Very few shortcuts and an odd project scope issue.

Two apps for two very different GTD discipliners out there.  Whichever one applies to you, I highly recommend downloading.  The 50 bones will be made up easily in the increase of workflow efficiency that both of these apps will instill into your life.

I would also suggest trying out DeskAway, we have a basic free plan and reasonable upgrades. Easy to use with powerful features.

Yep Pryanka, DeskAway is a really swank app. However, it is really keyed in for the enterprise minded individual who needs to share their GTD with a group of people. Amazing program, just not really specifically good for one person…and 3 projects for the free price is pushing it. Thanks for commenting though!
