As a little update for you all (especially Tomas) the laptop still seems to speed up the fans under load but there is a tremendous difference when it is coming down from a load. Since it is inclined it dissipates the heat much quicker and the fans do not need to run as long. I have read though that propping like this does damage the hard drives. However, we have Time Machine these days and drives are always getting cheaper so this should not deter you. Peace!

The stand looks great! :)

I've noticed that my MacBook does indeed run a bit cooler just by getting it off a flat surface, but definitely let me know if you see any improvement with the laptop stand!
